I would like to introduce you to Bagheera (aka Baggy). This magnificent black cat is the muse for my two new books: Cattitude – the inner thoughts of your feline friend and There’s a Panther in our Garden.
Baggy came hissing and spitting into our lives in 2025. Starving and feral, he showed no prior signs of human connection. But, for some reason, he chose us and has never left us since that chance summer meeting in our back garden…in Catford!
Although still very timid at times, he has an amazing presence – and a knack of showing us exactly what he feels about our actions. He is the master of blatant, unapologetic cattitude – and we love him for it!

There’s a Panther in our Garden tells the true story of how Baggy found love, safety and belonging in a south London home.
The full-colour picture book uses humour, hand-drawn illustrations and rhyming verse to tell the story of his journey from starving, feral stray to much-loved family member.
There’s a Panther in our Garden is the second book in my Bagheera the Black Cat series and will appeal to cat lovers of all ages.
